HomeGoods opened its newest Texarkana location at Town West Shopping Center in September 2026, bringing the national home furnishings retailer to a newly transformed space along Richmond Road.

The Challenge

Transforming an existing retail space for a national brand requires more than installing new finishes and fixtures. The space has to be reworked around a completely different customer experience, merchandising strategy, and day-to-day operation.

For the Texarkana HomeGoods, the project involved converting an existing tenant space into a retail environment ready for the brand’s constantly changing mix of furniture, décor, housewares, seasonal merchandise, and other home products.

Our Solution

Cornerstone Commercial managed the retail buildout with a focus on coordination, sequencing, and preparing the space for turnover ahead of the store’s September opening.

The project moved the existing space through the stages of a commercial retail transformation, including preparation of the sales floor, building systems, interior finishes, and the infrastructure needed to support HomeGoods’ merchandising and store operations.

As construction progressed, the space changed from an open, unfinished interior into a recognizable HomeGoods environment, complete with rows of shelving and merchandising areas ready to be stocked.

By keeping the project moving through construction, inspections, and final store preparation, Cornerstone helped bring the space to the point where the HomeGoods team could move in, merchandise the store, and prepare for opening day.

The Result

The completed HomeGoods project transformed an existing retail space into a new destination for Texarkana shoppers.

The finished buildout provides:

  • A flexible retail floor designed to accommodate HomeGoods’ frequently changing merchandise

  • Organized shelving and merchandising areas ready for a wide variety of product categories

  • A refreshed environment aligned with the HomeGoods brand

  • A customer-ready space prepared for the store’s September 10 grand opening

HomeGoods officially opened the Texarkana store on September 10, 2026 at Town West Shopping Center.

From Empty Space to Retail Ready

Retail transformations like this are about much more than the finished photos. Behind every opening are months of construction, coordination, problem-solving, and details that customers will never see.

The end result is the part that matters most: a space ready for the business to get to work.
